el objetivo de este estudio es poner en valor la figura de Jean Laurent como fotógrafo y empresario afincado en la España del siglo XIX mostrando las fotografías de un álbum conservado en el Archivo Municipal de Valladolid (AMVA L. 4057). El desarrollo de la fotografía provocó en España la llegada de profesionales y amateurs decididos a capturar vistas de ciudades y monumentos. Laurent será uno de los que más y mejor retrató nuestro país, consolidándose como empresario de éxito, inventor y profesional de la fotografía.
the purpose of this study is to add value to the figure of Jean Laurent as a photographer and businessman settled down in the Spain of the 19th century by showing the photographs of an album preserved in the Municipal Archive of Valladolid (AMVA L. 4057). The development of photography in Spain led to the arrival of both professionals and amateurs determined to capture city views and monuments. Laurent will be one of the artists who most and best portrayed our country, establishing himself as a successful businessman, creator and professional photographer.
