El trabajo estudia la posición y la respuesta de las principales instituciones europeas ante los eventos de la crisis de Ucrania, que estalla en noviembre de 2013. The paper studies the position and response of the main European institutions to the events of the Ukraine crisis, which broke out in November 2013. First, the relations between the EU and Ukraine since 2004 are explained, and some of the reasons for the weak position of the EU during the conflict. In development, the events of the crisis are explained and compared with the responses of the European institutions. From the political crisis that broke out with the Euromaidan protests, we progressed to the flight of President Yanukovich, leading to the annexation of Crimea by Russia and the beginning of the war and the separatist threat in the Donbass.
