Escrituras femeninas en Castilla en el siglo XVI. Una manera de leer el mundo

Abstract

En el siglo XVI la educación alcanzaba en porcentaje pequeño a las mujeres, que aprendieron a leer y escribir sobre todo en el ambiente familiar, empleando cartillas y textos devotos y religiosos, que permitieron que la escritura llegase a más gente, aunque a veces esta y la lectura se usasen para adoctrinar a las mujeres que para instruirlas. Estas leyeron y escribieron en los tipos de gótica y humanística empleados en Castilla del siglo XVI. Y escribieron para el gobierno de lo público, en pocas ocasiones, y para la administración de lo propio, es decir, los negocios y la familia, así como para los asuntos más íntimos y personales.

At the XVI century, the education reached in a little percentage to the women, that learned to read and write especially in the family environment, using primers and texts devotees and religious, that allowed writing to reach more people, although sometimes the writing and the reading were using to adoctrinate to the women instead of instructing them. These reading and writing in the tips of gothics and humanistic employed in Castile of XVI century. And they are writing for the government of public, in a little moment, and for administration of one´s own, I mean, business and family, as well as for intimate affairs and personal.
