Estudio biogeográfico del término municipal de Velilla del Río Carrión (Palencia)

Abstract

Históricamente, los bosques siempre han sido lugares de especial importancia para el desarrollo de las actividades humanas, pero actualmente esto ya no es así. En este trabajo se tratara de abordar la conformación del actual paisaje vegetal del término municipal de Velilla del Río Carrión, desgajándolo en los correspondientes subtipos de paisaje y analizando uno por uno su composición vegetal; así como de la estructura zoogeográfica de los diversos hábitats que conforman las distintas áreas del paisaje velillense y como esta influye en la estructura del paisaje vegetal; y una breve descripción de los elementos abióticos que condicionan los hechos biogeográficos, es decir, el clima, la red fluvial, los suelos y el relieve.

Historically, forests have always been places of special importance for the development of human activities, but today this is no longer the case. This work will try to address the conformation of the current vegetal landscape of the municipality of Velilla del Río Carrión, breaking it down into the corresponding sub-landscapes and analyzing its vegetal composition one by one; as well as the zoogeographic structure of the various habitats that make up the different areas of the Velilla landscape and how this influences the structure of the vegetal landscape; and a brief description of the abiotic elements that determine the biogeographic facts, that is, the climate, the river network, the soils and the relief.
