La trata de seres humanos con fines de explotación sexual y la prostitución son dos realidades que en numerosas ocasiones se encuentran íntimamente ligadas y que constituyen un grave ataque a la libertad, la dignidad, y la integridad física y moral de las víctimas, especialmente mujeres y niños. Es por eso que el objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar los delitos de trata de seres humanos (artículo 177 bis del Código Penal) y los delitos relacionados con la prostitución (artículos 187 y 188 del Código Penal), mediante un estudio de la legislación nacional y de los instrumentos internacionales más importantes, para posteriormente comentar su aplicación por los tribunales a través de las decisiones más relevantes.
Trafficking in human beings for the purpose of sexual exploitation and prostitution are two realities that are often closely linked, and which constitute a serious attack on the freedom, dignity, and physical and moral integrity of the victims, especially women and children. That is why the aim of this final degree project is to analyse the crimes of trafficking in human beings (Article 177 bis of the Criminal Code) and crimes related to prostitution (Articles 187 and 188 of the Criminal Code), through a study of national legislation and the most important international instruments, and then to comment on their application by the courts through the most relevant decisions.
