Implantación y consolidación del cristianismo y sus estructuras eclesiásticas: el caso del Noroeste peninsular (ss. III-VI)

Abstract

Los inicios del cristianismo y la articulación de la iglesia en Hispania tienen varias incógnitas. Por ello, a lo largo de este trabajo se pretende explicar a modo de síntesis la cristianización del noroeste peninsular con las hipótesis y los datos encontrados, así como también los mecanismos de implantación y organización de las estructuras eclesiásticas desde los siglos III d. C. al VI d. C. Este periodo de tres siglos fue el marco de actuación de un largo proceso que comenzó con los romanos y terminó con los pueblos germánicos llegados de fuera de los limes del Imperio, pasando por una serie de problemáticas y pervivencias paganas que lo acompañaron hasta épocas tardías y que asentaron las bases de las diferentes figuras y entidades religiosas.

The beginnings of Christianity and the articulation of the church in Hispania have several unknowns. Therefore, in this work we try to explain the Christianization of the northwest peninsular with the hypotheses and the data found it, as well as we try to explain the mechanisms of implantation and organization of the ecclesiastical structures from the third century AD to the sixth century AD. This period of three centuries was the framework of a long process that began with the Romans and ended with the Germanic peoples arrived from outside the limits of the Empire. This period was a series of problems and pagan survival that accompanied it until late times and it laid the foundations of the different religious figures and entities.
