A lo largo de este trabajo se sintetiza el conflicto de la Guerra de las Comunidades usando como eje principal el papel que tuvo la Santa Junta. El estudio de esta institución y de su breve pero intensa vida resulta muy interesante para poder entender el desarrollo de la Guerra de las Comunidades y sus diferentes etapas bien diferenciadas por las tres sedes en las que se localizó la organización a lo largo de su corta vida. Su estancia en Ávila marca el inicio de la guerra por el incumplimiento de Carlos V de los acuerdos firmados en las Cortes de Valladolid en 1518 y en las Cortes de Santiago y La Coruña en 1520. El traslado a Tordesillas muestra el interés que tuvo la rebelión en ganarse el favor de la reina Juana y su última sede en Valladolid ya marca el inicio del fin del conflicto.
Throughout this work, the War of the Communities is synthesized using the role played by the Santa Junta as the main axis. The study of this institution and its short but intense life is very interesting in order to understand the development of the War of the Communities and its different stages, well differentiated by the three locations in which the organization was located throughout its short life. His stay in Ávila marks the beginning of the war due to Carlos V's breach of the agreements signed in the Courts of Valladolid in 1518 and in the Courts of Santiago and La Coruña in 1520. The change to Tordesillas shows the interest that the rebellion had in winning the favor of Queen Juana and its last location in Valladolid already marks the beginning of the end of the conflict.
