El albinismo a través de la comunidad internacional

Abstract

El albinismo supone uno o varios defectos genéticos hereditarios-dependiendo de la afección y el tipo de albinismo que padezca- que provoca la incapacidad el cuerpo para producir y/o distribuir melanina a través de él. A pesar de no ser una enfermedad contagiosa, existe numerosos estigmas sociales y creencias religiosas alrededor de la enfermedad lo que provoca que las personas que lo padecen sean perseguidas y atacadas de forma violenta, convirtiéndoles en objetos de rituales y de discriminación. En este trabajo se realizará un análisis previo para conocer a fondo la condición genética, así como las resoluciones y medidas que se han tomado -a nivel nacional e internacional- para apalear y castigar cualquier acto violento que afecte a la comunidad albina, con el objetivo de conocer la situación en la que viven diariamente estas personas y que suponen un desafío para la comunidad internacional y la defensa de los derechos humanos.

Albinism involves one or more hereditary genetic defects - depending on the condition and the type of albinism suffered - which causes the body's inability to produce and/or distribute melanin throughout the body. Despite not being a contagious disease, there are numerous social stigmas and religious beliefs surrounding the disease, which causes people who suffer from it to be persecuted and violently attacked, making them objects of rituals and discrimination. In this work, a preliminary analysis will be carried out to gain an in-depth knowledge of the genetic condition, as well as the resolutions and measures that have been taken - on a national and international level - to punish and punish any violent act that affects the albino community, with the aim of understanding the situation in which these people live on a daily basis and which represent a challenge for the international community and the defense of human rights.
