La libertad de expresión es uno de los derechos
fundamentales más relevantes del ordenamiento jurídico español; sin embargo,
su contenido no es absoluto y está sujeto a ciertos límites, como por ejemplo el
delito de enaltecimiento del terrorismo recogido en el artículo 578 del Código
Penal español, objeto de numerosas críticas desde su introducción en la
legislación penal española por ser un precepto legal sospechoso de provocar
injerencias injustificadas sobre la libertad de expresión.
Freedom of expression is one of the most relevant fundamental
rights of the spanish legal system; however, its content is not absolute and it is
subject of certain limits, such as the crime of glorifying terrorism included in article
578 of the Spanish Criminal Code, which is object of many criticisms since its
introduction into the spanish criminal law because of being a precept suspected
of causing unjustified interferences in the freedom of speech.
