Abstract

Resumen: Desde 1930 hasta la actualidad se han llevado a cabo al menos once adaptaciones cinematográficas del conocido relato de Jack London, To build a fire. De este, se publicaron dos versiones (1902 y 1908), siendo la última la que ha centrado el mayor interés en el ámbito cinematográfico. Con la idea de verificar el uso de soluciones propias de la narrativa cinematográfica, como sustitutivas del lenguaje literario, nos centramos en los diez primeros planos de To Build a Fire (Fx Goby, 2016). En él estudiamos y analizamos las transferencias, convergencias y divergencias presentes en su adaptación/recreación y experimentadas sobre el relato de London. From Literature to Film: transfers, convergences and divergences in To build a fire (Fx Goby, 2016) Abstract: Since 1930 to the present day, at least eleven film adaptations of Jack London’s well-known tale, To build a fire, have been made. Of this, two versions were published (1902 and 1908). The last one has concentrated the greatest interest in the cinematographic field. With the idea of verifying the use of cinematographic narrative solutions as substitutes for literary language, we focus on the first ten frames of To Build a Fire (Fx Goby, 2016). In this work we study and analyse the transfers, convergences and divergences present in its adaptation/recreation and experienced on London’s story.
