Análisis del Geoparque de las Montañas do Courel y su uso como recurso docente en geología

Abstract

Este trabajo de Fin de Máster busca emplear una zona natural, concretamente un geoparque (en este caso, el de Montañas do Courel), como potencial recurso docente en 1º Bachillerato. Utilizando metodologías de aprendizaje basado en proyectos (ABP) y aprendizaje colaborativo, el alumnado trabajará en grupos para desarrollar sus correspondientes proyectos de investigación, que se vincularán a un mapa interactivo del geoparque. De una forma activa, los estudiantes podrán adquirir las competencias establecidas por el currículo y potenciarán sus habilidades con el uso de las TIC, su capacidad de oratoria y el trabajo en equipo. Todo ello tendrá también el objetivo de concienciar al alumnado sobre la importancia de conservar los espacios naturales y fomentar las actuaciones sostenibles sobre ellos. La integración de información al mapa interactivo del geoparque, además, tiene una potencial aplicación interdisciplinar al poder involucrar a otros departamentos que pueden contribuir a aumentar la cantidad de información de otros campos de conocimiento.

This Final Master’s thesis has the objective to use a natural area, specifically a geopark (in this case, Courel Mountains Geopark), as a potential teaching resource in 1st Bach. Using projectbased learning and collaborative learning methodologies, the students will work in teams to develop their respective research projects, which will be linked to an interactive map of the geopark. In an active way, the students will be able to accomplish the competences established by the curriculum and will improve their abilities in the use of ICT, as well as their communication and teamwork skills. All of this will aim to raise the students’ awareness about the importance to preserve the natural spaces and promote the sustainable actions upon them. The transference of the information to the geopark interactive map , additionally has a potential interdisciplinary use by involving other departments that can contribute to increase the amount of information from other fields of knowledge.
