Cortometraje: “Zamba para una ausencia”

Abstract

El objetivo del presente trabajo es la elaboración de la memoria que complementa la realización del cortometraje de ficción “Zamba para una ausencia” en el marco de mi Trabajo de Fin de Máster Profesional (en adelante TFM) correspondiente al Máster en Cine, Comunicación e Industria Audiovisual de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad de Valladolid. En la presente memoria se hablará de la concepción de la idea original del cortometraje, de la narración de la pieza y de las fases por las que ha ido pasando. Se ha cuidado la realización técnica cinematográfica, poniendo énfasis en la imagen, resultado de mi formación profesional en este campo. La idea original subyacente es la preocupación actual que hay en torno al fenómeno del suicidio y el tratamiento que han hecho, y hacen, los medios de comunicación y el cine en particular. Se enfrentan dos posturas opuestas: una sería la idea de que mostrar actos suicidas en los medios, incita a que estos se popularicen y, por efecto de contagio, se tiendan a imitar, es el llamado efecto Werther1. Por otro lado existe la opinión de que, precisamente por mostrarlos, se produce un rechazo y el público no imitaría dichas conductas, denominado efecto Papageno2. Nuestro cortometraje pretende dar voz a una poetisa, Alfonsina Storni, que decidió quitarse la vida y acallar su voz para siempre.

The aim of this work is the elaboration of the report that complements the realization of the fiction short film “Zamba para una ausencia” in the framework of my Trabajo de Fin de Máster Profesional (hereinafter TFM) corresponding to the Máster en Cine, Comunicación e Industria Audiovisual de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad de Valladolid. In this report we will talk about the conception of the original idea of the short film, the narration of the piece and the phases it has gone through. The technical realization of the film-matographic technique has been taken care of, emphasizing the image, as a result of my professional training in this field. The original underlying idea is the current concern about the phenomenon of suicide and the treatment that the media and the cinema in particular have done and do. There are two opposing positions: one is the idea that showing suicidal acts in the media encourages them to become popular and, by contagion, they tend to be imitated, the so-called Werther effect. On the other hand, there is the opinion that, precisely by showing them, a rejection is produced and the public would not imitate such behaviors, called the Papageno effect. Our short film aims to give voice to a poetess, Alfonsina Storni, who decided to take her own life and silence her voice forever.
