«Lo bueno, si breve, dos veces bueno»: el cuento de los siglos XIX y XX como herramienta para el fomento de la lectura y el acercamiento a los clásicos en 4º de la ESO

Abstract

El hábito lector ha sufrido una progresiva disminución entre el alumnado de Secundaria. En concreto, los autores considerados canónicos se han visto especialmente afectados por dicha situación. De este modo, partiendo de la voluntad de revertir esta tendencia, nace la situación de aprendizaje «Lo bueno, si breve, dos veces bueno», mediante la que pretendemos fomentar la lectura de autores canónicos a través de su cuentística. Así, nuestra propuesta se compone de una serie de actividades y dinámicas destinadas al alumnado de cuarto de la ESO que se centran en una selección de relatos de grandes autores de los siglos XIX y XX ya pertenecientes al currículo de Secundaria. De esta manera, se pretende alcanzar el objetivo de fomentar la lectura tanto de autores canónicos como del cuento a nivel general.

The reading habit has suffered a progressive decline among secondary school students. Particularly, canonical authors have been especially affected by this situation. Thus, with the aim of reversing this trend, we have created the learning situation «Lo bueno, si breve, dos veces bueno», through which we intend to encourage the reading of canonical authors through their short stories. Therefore, our proposal consists of a series of activities and dynamics aimed at students in the fourth year of Secondary School that focus on a selection of stories by great authors of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries already belonging to the Secondary School curriculum. In this way, it intends to achieve the goal of promoting the reading of canonical authors as well as of short stories at a general level.
