Résumé
This study explores teachers' perceptions of STEM education and gender equality in the field, aiming to identify factors influencing students’ orientation towards STEM careers and the role of gender in this process. The STEM Education and Gender Perception Questionnaire was developed to assess teachers' views on key issues, including STEM career motivation, gender-sensitive training, classroom practices, barriers for women in STEM, and structural challenges in education.
The questionnaire is divided into sections addressing general attitudes towards STEM, specific actions to promote female participation, perceived societal and institutional barriers, and the skills required for STEM success. It includes yes/no questions designed for primary and secondary school teachers, covering topics such as the visibility of female role models, the influence of educational curricula, workplace conditions, stereotypes, and government support.
The findings from this questionnaire will contribute to a deeper understanding of gender disparities in STEM education and inform future strategies to enhance inclusivity and equal opportunities in scientific and technological fields.
