El objetivo de este trabajo es explicar cómo se formó la nobleza en el reino de Valencia a lo largo del siglo XIV. Es decir, como se crearon los fundamentos legales que separaban la aristocracia de otros grupos o estratos sociales. Y como, a partir de este proceso, se creó una identidad diferenciada de la nobleza valenciana como un orden social diferenciado con nombres, símbolos, discursos y una identidad propia en la que la ideología caballeresca tenía un papel central.
This paper aims to explain how the nobility was formed in the Kingdom of Valencia over the course of the 14th century. It focuses on the establishment of legal foundations that distinguished the aristocracy from other social groups or strata. Furthermore, it explores how this process gave rise to a distinct identity for the Valencian nobility as a differentiated social order, marked by its own names, symbols, discourses, and a unique self-image in which chivalric ideology played a central role.
