La aplicación de la accesibilidad en centros escolares y su entorno urbano. Estudio del colegio filipense Blanca de Castilla, Palencia

Abstract

En este trabajo, se exponen los conceptos básicos en los que se sustenta la accesibilidad, las normas que la regulan en el concepto urbano y la evolución que ha experimentado hasta convertirse en un elemento cada vez más presente en nuestra sociedad Es utilizado cómo ejemplo práctico el Colegio Filipense Blanca de Castilla en Palencia. Es un edificio escolar regido por una congregación religiosa el cual fue construido en el año 1954. Se analizará el entorno urbano que la rodea y el interior de este colegio. El objetivo principal es conocer si tenían en cuenta la accesibilidad para los usuarios de un centro educativo cuando este se construyó, analizar qué elementos se han añadido posteriormente y las actuaciones que se han realizado para adaptarse a las necesidades de los usuarios Con los resultados obtenidos se propondrán nuevas soluciones accesibles adaptadas al entorno urbano que rodea el colegio y a su interior siempre basándose en cómo los usuarios utilizan el espacio. Se trata de un edificio al que acuden personas de todas las edades y debe de acoger a todas ellas.
