Se propone en este estudio la atribución del tríptico de la Sagrada Familia con Santa Catalina y Santa Bárbara, conservado en el oratorio del palacio episcopal de Ciudad Rodrigo (Salamanca), al prolífico taller del Maestro del Hijo Pródigo. Recolocado como parte del retablo barroco que decora el altar, su estado de conservación es delicado, lo que ha provocado diferentes confusiones en la historiografía existente en cuanto a su iconografía y dudas en su autoría.
This study suggests that the triptych with the Holy Family and Saint Catharine and Saint Barbara, displayed in the chapel of bishop's palace of Ciudad Rodrigo (Salamanca), should be attributed to the prolific workshop of the Master of the Prodigal Son. Removed to be part of the baroque altarpiece, its preservation conditions are not the appropriate ones, thus, causing several confusions to what its iconography is concerned and arising doubts regarding its authorship.
