En la iglesia parroquial de San Miguel y San Julián de Valladolid se conservan varios lienzos de carácter apoteósico, destacando entre ellos uno sobre la "Victoria de San Ignacio", realizado por el pintor Diego Díez de Ferreras en 1675. Su presencia en este templo vallisoletano se explica por el origen jesuítico del mismo. Tiene una composición compleja y una muy interesante iconografía que se pretende analizar en el presente artículo.
