La mano del parteluz del Pórtico de la Gloria de la Catedral de Santiago de Compostela no es considerada usualmente como parte de su repertorio iconográfico original. Desde el siglo XVII, al menos, ha sido interpretada de forma legendaria, formando parte, últimamente, de lo que cabe entender como ritual jacobeo. Su puesta en valor, en el conjunto de las cuatro columnas con representación figurativa, entre las que se ubica, nos lleva a proponer una interpretación para la misma.
The hand of the mullion of the Portico de la Gloria of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela is not usually considered as part of its original iconographic repertoire. Since the seventeenth century, at least, it has been interpreted in a legendary form, being part, lately, of what was understood as the Jacobean ritual. Its value in all the four columns with figurative representation, among which it is located, leads us to propose an interpretation for it.
