La obra de este ensamblador castellano, del que aún conocemos pocos datos, está asociada a la del imaginero Gregorio Fernández. Desarrolla un tipo de retablo muy sencillo, de líneas puras y tipo hornacina, que resultó enormemente difundido en los templos castellanos de la época (principios del siglo XVII). Asimismo, fue muy del gusto de la Orden del Carmen, en su búsqueda de la sobriedad en todos y cada uno de los elementos compositivos de sus fundaciones.
The work of this Castilian joiner, of whom we still know little information, is associated with the famous sculptor Gregorio Fernandez. There develops a type of very simple altarpiece, of pure lines and type niche, which turned out to be enormously spread in the Castilian temples of the moment (beginning of the 17th century). Likewise, it was very of the taste of the Carmelite order, in its search of the sobriety in each and every of the elements in their foundations.
