En este trabajo se exponen criterios fundamentales para unificar metodológicamente resultados científicos de diferentes autores y épocas sobre el legado lingüístico de origen bantú en el español de América. La autora, a partir de la experiencia acumulada durante treinta años de estudio en el análisis de estos particulares hechos lingüísticos, propone un esquema básico que permita subsanar algunos errores en la descripción y clasificación de datos que presentan una gran cantidad de variantes en las distintas zonas hispánicas. Estas variaciones en formas y valores semánticos son provocadas por las específicas formas orales de transmisión mantenidas durante varios siglos de resistencia.
In this work fundamental approaches are exposed to methodologically unify different times and authors' scientific results on the Bantu linguistic legacy in Spanish of America. The author, starting from the experience accumulated during thirty years of study in the analysis of these specific linguistic facts, proposes a basic outline that allows correcting some mistakes in the description and c1assification of data that present a great quantity of variants in the different Hispanic areas. These variations in forms and semantic values are caused by the specific oral forms of transmission maintained during several centuries of resistance.
