Reflexiones sobre la municipalización de Segovia

Abstract

This paper deals with the question of the municipal promotion of Segovia. In the first place I revise the epigraphic documents that have been utilized to test the concession of the municipal statute. In view of the doubts that present these documents are contributed new arguments of epigraphic kind to corroborate that Segovia was a municipality of Latin right, although it is not possible to determine with security the date of promotion.

Este trabajo trata sobre la cuestión de la municipalización de Segovia. En primer lugar reviso los documentos epigráficos que se han utilizado basta ahora para probar la concesión del estatuto municipal. En vista de las dudas que plantean estos documentos, se aportan nuevos argumentos de índole epigráfica para corroborar que Segovia era un municipio de derecho latino, aunque no se puede precisar con seguridad su fecha de promoción.
