Los motivos decorativos de los hórreos y paneras de Riocastelo (Tineo, Asturias): un testimonio de la pervivencia de la iconografía astral prerromana

Abstract

La iconografía astral, fijada en las cabeceras de las estelas funerarias, que los habitantes, con aportes étnicos indoeuropeos/celtas, de la Iberia conquistada por Roma alzaron a sus difuntos, perdura través de los siglos, difiriendo en cuanto a su sentido apotropaico. Protección en el Más Allá y esperanza de vida para aquéllos. En el último eslabón de la cadena de esta iconografía, en época actual, documento, igualmente, el sentido de protección, mágico simbólica, pero ahora proyectado hacia el mundo de los vivos en ciertos soportes, para este estudio en los hórreos y paneras asturianos.
