AB This study addresses the most important Roman roads through territories now corresponding to the provinces of Toledo and Ciudad Real, based especially on the information found in the ancient itineraries that have been preserved. Other routes not mentioned in those itineraries are also considered to complete the road structure in this geographical area with immense strategic importance in Roman times, as it necessarily had to be crossed to get from the interior to the south of the Iberian Peninsula.
