AB In this work it is ascertained that the different perspectives with which Nebrija and Covarrubias started gave place to divergent dictionaries, both in between the repertories of the Antonio, between themselves, as well as between those and the ones of the Tesoro of Covarrubias. The question is raised of what is specialists' technical language and what belongs to the general learned language, that can also belong in many cases to the technical lexicon, as well as the problems that this vocabulary poses in these works. For the purpose of its study, language relative to the economy and finances has been organized in different semantic fields to establish which are the most abundant and representative, as well as the possible divergencies between them. To finish with, the diatopic, diastrasic, diafasic etc., information contained in Covarrubias’ Tesoro is presented, and it ends with the disparities manifested by both lexicographers.
