AB The sculptor Jorge Oteiza (1908-2003) declared that his disinterest in drawing was a question of conciseness. Nevertheless, his archives house over 800 sketches and collages illustrating the spatial concept present in his plastic works. This contribution analyses Oteiza’s work by comparing the spatial use of drawing with the results of the survey of his sculptures represented in orthographic projections and three-dimensional reconstructions. The survey was used as a study method to draft new conclusions about the spatial research visible in his works.
