Literatura infantil sobre problemas infantiles: la diabetes

Abstract

Debido al creciente número de casos de diabetes infantil que se está dando en la sociedad actual, no es raro encontrarse en las aulas cada vez más casos de esta enfermedad. Por esta razón, he decidido analizar dos libros sobre esta temática, para hacer un acercamiento del material seleccionado a las aulas y poder desarrollar junto con los niños un aprendizaje colectivo y cooperativo. En este trabajo se expone la importancia de la literatura y la literatura infantil como una de las herramientas educativas básicas en el desarrollo integral del niño, de integración y socialización. Concretamente se centra en el uso del cuento como elemento motivador, útil y facilitador del aprendizaje de los niños, de ahí que dicho proyecto finalice con el análisis de dos cuentos infantiles dirigidos al conocimiento y a las medidas frente a la diabetes en las aulas de educación infantil. Ambos cuentos contribuyen a la trasmisión de conocimientos, tales como la diabetes, la diabetes infantil, la insulina, la hipoglucemia, la hiperglucemia…; todos ellos se podrán descubrir a través de los cuentos seleccionados, teniendo como fin que el alumnado interiorice y asimile dichos conocimientos y práctica de costumbres saludables al finalizar las actividades.

Due to the increasing number of cases of infantile diabetes that is given in the current company, it is not rare to be in the classrooms increasingly cases of this disease. For this reason, I have decided to analyze two books on this subject matter, to do an approximation of the material selected to the classrooms and to be able to develop together with the children a collective and cooperative learning. This final-year project expounds the importance of literature and Children´s literature as a basic educational tool in the integral development of the child, of integration, and socialization. Specifically it focuses on the use of tale as a motivational, useful and facilitator element of children's learning; therefore this project finishes with the analysis of two tales aimed at the knowledge and the measures opposite to the diabetes in kindergarten’s classrooms. Both tales contribute to the transmission of knowledge, such as diabetes, childhood diabetes, insulin, hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia...; all of them will be able to be discovered through the selected stories, having as aim that pupils are going to internalize and assimilate those knowledge and practice of healthy customs on having finished the activities.
