Algunos aspectos del anticlericalismo español en la revolución de 1868

Abstract

En este artículo se analiza el anticlericalismo español durante los primeros meses de la Revolución del 68, reflejado en algunos puntos de los programas de las juntas y del Gobierno Provisional y en las protestas del pueblo madrileño ante la Nunciatura Apostólica La Revolución del 68 supuso un avance de las fuerzas secularizadoras y del proceso de descristianización de la sociedad española

This article aims to analyse Spanish anticlericalism during the first months of the Revolution of 1868, as it is reflected in some items of the programmes of the Juntas and of the Provisional Government, and in the popular protests in the streets of Madrid in front of the Apostolic Nunciature. The Revolution of 1868 meant a step forward of the secularizing forces and the process of progressive loss of influence of the Church in Spanish society.
