After the treatment of the issue of the unwarranted identification with Contributa Ipscense in a previous paper, this article deals with the reality of Roman archaeology in Iscar. From the current state of the art, the local physical environment and the main features of the archaeological sites of this assignment in the municipality arc analyzed, including an approach to the type of habitat. It deepens subsequently from a spatial perspective in the imbrication of these sites within the surrounding territorial mesh, identifiable with the northern area in the territorium of the ancient city of Cauca.
Tras el tratamiento del asunto de la injustificada identificación con Contributa Ipscense en un trabajo anterior, el presente artículo aborda la realidad de la arqueología romana en Iscar. A partir del estado actual de la cuestión, se analiza el medio físico local y las principales características de los yacimientos arqueológicos de esta adscripción localizados en el término municipal, incluyendo una aproximación a su tipología de hábitat. Posteriormente se profundiza desde una perspectiva espacial en la imbricación de estos enclaves dentro de la malla territorial circundante, identificable con el área septentrional del territorium de la antigua ciudad de Cauca.
