La prensa es una fuente histórica que nos proporciona gran cantidad de información y muy diversa, por ello hemos recurrido al Memorial Literario, un destacado periódico de finales del siglo XVIII, para aproximarnos a la vida de las mujeres en la España de las Luces. A lo largo de estas páginas trataremos de analizar las presencias femeninas en esta publicación: dónde aparece la mujer, de qué forma y cómo se le trata; abarcando temas como la cultura, la familia real, la medicina, la educación, la religiosidad o la vida cotidiana.
The press is a historical source that provide us a lot of diverse information, so we have resorted to the Memorial Literario, a noted newspaper of the late eighteenth century, to come close to the lives of women in the Spain of Lights. Throughout these pages, we will try to analyse the women’s presences in this publication: where the woman appears, in what way and how she addressed; covering topics such as culture, Royal family, medicine, education, religiosity or quotidian life.
