El sistema bancario en España

Abstract

Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado aborda la explicación de cómo una crisis, que se inició en Estados Unidos en 2007 con las hipotecas subprime, acabó afectando al resto de economías a nivel mundial. Concretamente, esta crisis internacional, junto con una serie de problemas a nivel interno, provocó uno de los mayores recesos en la economía de nuestro país, afectando especialmente al sistema bancario. A lo largo de los epígrafes en que está estructurado este trabajo, vamos a ir analizando las causas que llevaron a esta gran crisis económica y financiera, los efectos en los principales indicadores que mejor plasman el crecimiento de nuestra economía y, por último, abordaremos las medidas que fue tomando el Gobierno para reestructurar el sector bancario, así como la ayuda financiera que recibimos de los países del Eurogrupo.

This Final Degree Project approaches the explanation of how a crisis, that began in the United States in 2007 with subprime mortgages, ended up concerning the rest of economies worldwide. Specifically, this international crisis, together with an amount of internal problems, caused one of the major recessions in the economy of our country, affecting specially the bank system. Throughout the sections in which this work is structured, we are going to analyze the reasons that led to this great economic and financial crisis, the effects on the major indicators that best capture the growth of our economy and, finally, we will approach the measures that the Government was taking to restructure the bank sector, as well as the financial help we receive from the Eurogroup countries.
