Educación intercultural: propuesta de intervención en el aula

Abstract

La presencia de alumnado procedente de otras culturas en las aulas ha incrementado desde hace años. Actualmente nos encontramos en una sociedad multicultural en la que esta situación no es percibida de la misma manera por todos los individuos cuando debería de ser una vertiente enriquecedora para todo el mundo. En algunas ocasiones, tanto el alumnado como las familias extranjeras no se sienten acogidas ni integradas en el nuevo lugar en el que habitan. La educación intercultural y la educación en valores cobran gran relevancia, sobre todo en los primeros años de vida, para evitar que suceda lo anterior. La propuesta de intervención intercultural que voy a realizar, está puesta en práctica en el Colegio Divina Pastora de León, y la edad en la que voy a centrarme es en el segundo ciclo de Educación Infantil concretamente con alumnado de 4 y 5 años, ya que en mi aula no poseo ningún niño o niña procedente de otras culturas y aunque esto sea así, en su vida diaria se van a encontrar con diversidad cultural en la sociedad en la que conviven. Dicha propuesta consiste en la realización de diferentes actividades en las que se hace partícipes al alumnado y docente principalmente, contando con el apoyo de las familias.

The presence of students from other cultures in the school has increased for years. Nowadays we are in a multicultural society in which this situation is not perceived in the same way by all individuals when it should be an enriching aspect for the whole world. In some occasions, both students and foreign families do not feel welcomed or integrated into the new place where they live. Intercultural education and education in values is very important, especially in the first years of life, to prevent the above from happening. The proposal of intercultural intervention that I am going to carry out is put into practice at the Divina Pastora School in León, and the age at which I am going to focus is on the second cycle of Pre-school Education, specifically with students of 4 and 5 years, being as in my classroom I do not have any boy or girl from other cultures, and although this is so, in their daily life they will encounter a cultural diversity in the society in which they live. This proposal consists of carrying out different activities in which the students and teachers are mainly involved, with the support of the families.
