Análisis de la enseñanza del inglés en Educación Primaria. Metodología teórico-práctica para la clase bilingüe

Abstract

El trabajo pretende ser una reflexión sobre las orientaciones prácticas para la labor diaria de los maestros de inglés de Educación Primaria en un aula bilingüe. Con este propósito, hemos analizado los tres componentes más importantes del proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje: el alumnado, el currículum y los maestros. Este trabajo consta de dos fases relacionadas entre sí. Una primera fase teórica en la que desarrollaremos las características de los niños que aprenden inglés en Educación Primaria. En esta fase, hablaremos también de las partes más importantes que conforman el curriculum de lengua inglesa y por último, las ideas principales que deben presentar los maestros de lengua inglesa en primaria. En la segunda fase presentaremos una propuesta de intervención dividida en sesiones en la que se realizará una Unidad Didáctica en el aula titulada “We Are Tour Guides of English”. En esta Unidad Didáctica nos centraremos en desarrollar una Tarea Final y su objetivo principal será introducir a los alumnos en la cultura inglesa.

This piece of work aims to be a reflection on the practical guidelines for the daily work of English teachers of Primary Education in a bilingual class. For this reason, we have analysed the three most important components of the teaching-learning process: the Students, the Curriculum and the Teachers. The structure of the work consists of two related phases: a first theoretical phase in which we will develop the characteristics of children who learn English in Primary Education. We will also talk about the most important parts that make up the English Language Curriculum and finally, the main ideas that English teachers must present in primary school. The second phase will be a practical programme divided into sessions in which there will be a Didactic Unit called "We Are Tour Guides of English". In the Didactic Unit, we will focus on developing a Final Task and its main objective will be to get students to become interested in English Culture.
