Síndrome de Rubinstein-Taybi. Propuesta de intervención

Abstract

Hoy en día es muy fácil encontrarnos con múltiples enfermedades raras. Una de ellas es el Síndrome de Rubisntein-Taybi, una enfermedad genética que causa en las personas que la padecen malformaciones en sus extremidades y Discapacidad Intelectual, entre otros problemas médicos. Los niños que presentan este síndrome demandan en su etapa educativa una serie de necesidades educativas especiales debido a algunas limitaciones que pueden encontrar en su día a día en los centros escolares. Por lo que, profesionales como los pedagogos terapeutas se encarguen de diseñar, planificar y desarrollar metodologías que puedan cubrir las limitaciones que estos alumnos pueden presentar. En este Trabajo de Fin de Grado se ha propuesto una intervención educativa con la finalidad de mejorar la calidad de vida del alumnado ofreciéndole saberes que le ayuden a aumentar su autonomía y permitan desenvolverse en diferentes situaciones.

Nowadays, it is very easy to come across multiple rare diseases. One of them is the Rubisntein-Taybi Syndrome, a genetic disease that causes extremities malformations and Intellectual Disability, among other medical problems. Children with this syndrome demand a series of special educational needs in their educational stage due to some limitations they may find in their daily life at school. Therefore, professionals such as educational therapists are responsible for designing, planning and developing methodologies that can cover the limitations that these students may present. In this End of Degree Project, an educational intervention has been proposed with the aim of improving the quality of life of the students by offering them knowledge that will help them to increase their autonomy and allow them to develop in different situations.
