La armada de Flandes y el viaje de la princesa Juana

Abstract

A lo largo del trabajo veremos cómo se organizó la Armada de Flandes, una gran flota encargada de llevar a Flandes a la infanta Juana y traer a tierras castellanas a la infanta Margarita de Austria para casarse con el príncipe Juan, heredero del trono de los Reyes Católicos. Analizaremos cómo se proyectó, el tipo de naves que la compondrían, cómo se financió, el recorrido y vicisitudes hasta dejar a la futura archiduquesa en la corte de su marido, y el regreso con la que debería convertirse en reina de Castilla y Aragón.

In this work we will see how one organized the Navy of Flanders, a great fleet entrusted to take Flanders to the princess Juana and bringing to Castilian lands the princess Margarita of Austria to marry the prince Juan, inheritor of the throne of the Catholics Kings. We will analyze how there was projected, the type of ships that would composeit, how it was financed, the tour and vicissitudes up to leaving the future archduchessin the court of her husband, and the return with the one that should turn into queen of Castile and Aragon.
