Conocimientos y actitudes de la educación afectivo-sexual en el alumnado universitario

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo analizar las actitudes y conocimientos sobre educación afectivo-sexual en el ámbito universitario, para la creación de futuras propuestas de formación desde el profesional de la educación social. Para ello, se ha revisado teóricamente los diferentes términos y conceptos que engloba la sexualidad y la afectividad, y se han analizado los distintos estudios que existen, desde la evolución en el desarrollo humano, la introducción de los diferentes conceptos, la diversidad y los mitos que la engloban, hasta el papel de educador o educadora social dentro del Ámbito Universitario como educador o educadora afectivo-sexual. Para llegar al objeto de estudio, se trabaja desde un paradigma sociocrítico y una metodología de corte mixto, basada en un cuestionario como instrumento de recogida de información, que cuenta con cuatro dimensiones y diez categorías, que ha sido respondido por 474 alumnos y alumnas de la Universidad, con el fin de recoger información acerca de sus vivencias, conocimientos e interés frente a este tema. Se han obtenido una serie de resultados de gran relevancia, siendo significativo que el 81,6% de alumnado universitario afirma que no ha recibido educación afectivo-sexual durante toda su etapa universitaria. Por ello, la conclusión se evidencia en la ausencia de conocimiento y formación respecto a la temática estudiada, destacando la falta de formación relacionada con la afectividad, demostrando así la necesidad de crear una mayor formación sobre educación efectivo-sexual dentro del ámbito universidad desde la mirada de la educación social.

The present research work aims to analyze the attitudes and knowledge about affective-sexual education in the university environment, for the creation of future training proposals from the social education professional. For this purpose, the different terms and concepts that encompass sexuality and affectivity have been reviewed theoretically, and the different studies that exist have been analyzed, from the evolution in human development, the introduction of the different concepts, diversity and the myths that encompass it, to the role of the social educator within the university environment as an affective-sexual educator. In order to reach the object of study, we work from a socio-critical paradigm and a mixed methodology, based on a questionnaire as an instrument of information collection, which has four dimensions and ten categories, which has been answered by 474 students of the University, in order to collect information about their experiences, knowledge and interest in this subject. A series of highly relevant results were obtained, being significant that 81.6% of university students stated that they had not received affective-sexual education throughout their university years. Therefore, the conclusion is evident in the absence of knowledge and training regarding the subject studied, highlighting the lack of training related to affectivity, thus demonstrating the need to create more training on effective-sexual education within the university environment from the viewpoint of social education.
