Orígenes y procedencia de los musulmanes castellanos del Duero: fuentes y métodos para su estudio

Abstract

En las últimas décadas, el estudio histórico del islam permitido (mudéjar) de la cuenca del Duero se ha abierto paso en la historiografía actual, mostrando el papel de este contingente en el desarrollo histórico del Duero. No obstante, aún hoy se desconoce algo tan fundamental como el origen de estos musulmanes. Por ello, este trabajo propone, por primera vez, el análisis de este hecho. Para tal finalidad contextualizaremos la historia del Duero desde la entrada del islam en el siglo VIII hasta el siglo XIII, añadiendo un análisis historiográfico con el estado de la cuestión. Para finalizar, nos detendremos en la búsqueda, selección y análisis de las fuentes que pudieran ser útiles para indagar en este asunto, tan importante como desconocido.

In recent decades, the historical study of permitted (mudejar) Islam of the Duero basin has made its way into today's historiography, showing the role of this contingent in the historical development of the Duero. However, even today something as fundamental as the origin of these Muslims is unknown. Therefore, this work proposes, for the first time, the analysis of this fact. For this purpose we will contextualize the history of the Duero from the entry of Islam in the 8th century to the 13th century, adding a historiographical analysis with the state of art. Finally, we will stop at the search, selection and analysis of the sources that could be useful to inquire into this matter, as important as unknown.
