Menores que sufren violencia vicaria e intervención desde el trabajo social

Abstract

En este trabajo nos preguntamos ¿Qué significa el concepto de “violencia vicaria” y cómo podemos intervenir desde el Trabajo Social sobre sus consecuencias? Esto se debe a que estamos acostumbrados a hablar sobre la violencia de género, dónde se infravalora a la mujer por el hecho de serlo, pero también es importante visibilizar como afecta este fenómeno sobre los/as hijos/as de estas mujeres que son denominados “víctimas invisibles”. Estos menores también sufren las consecuencias del daño que se le quiere hacer a sus madres y por ello realizaré un análisis sobre el marco legal que les protege, las consecuencias físicas, emocionales, cognitivas, conductuales, sociales… que presentan y los agentes, recursos y servicios específicos que existen para ellos. Para finalizar, se mencionará cual es la función de los/as trabajadores/as sociales con los/as menores víctimas de violencia de género para detectar los casos e intervenir con ellos/as y las buenas prácticas que se realizan en España con estos niños/as para garantizar su atención integral y ayudarlos a adaptarse a los cambios que surgen cuando los padres se separan por situaciones violentas, apoyándoles y acompañándoles en el proceso de su desarrollo personal, familiar y social.

In this work we ask ourselves what does the concept of "vicarious violence" mean and how can we intervene from Social Work on its consequences? This is because we are used to talking about gender violence, where women are undervalued for the fact of being women, but it is also important to make visible how this phenomenon affects the children of these women, who are called "invisible victims". These minors also suffer the consequences of the harm that is intended to be done to their mothers and for this reason I will analyze the legal framework that protects them, the physical, emotional, cognitive, behavioral, social consequences... that they present and the agents, resources and specific services that exist for them. Finally, we will mention the role of social workers with minors who are victims of gender violence in detecting cases and intervening with them and the good practices that are carried out in Spain with these children to guarantee their comprehensive care and help them adapt to the changes that arise when parents separate due to violent situations, supporting and accompanying them in the process of their personal, family and social development.
