La música como herramienta para facilitar el aprendizaje del inglés como lengua extranjera en Educación Primaria

Abstract

En pleno siglo XXI, la sociedad se encuentra en una era de la información llena de nativos digitales. Puede decirse que el mundo actual está en constante cambio. Por ello, dentro del mundo educativo, los maestros han de adaptarse a la realidad que se está viviendo con objeto de conseguir el desarrollo íntegro de su alumnado. Es aquí donde entra en juego el papel esencial de la música. Hoy en día, ¿se imaginan un mundo sin música? Yo tampoco. La música está en todas partes e incide de forma directa y constante en la vida del ser humano, siendo además una fuente de expresión y, por tanto, también lo hace en la educación. Esta investigación alega cómo el uso de la música en el aula es una potente herramienta en el aprendizaje de una lengua extranjera, en mi caso, la inglesa. Para ello, se ha realizado un profundo estudio acerca de las ventajas que ofrece la música en el aula. Además, se han indagado y probado tres aplicaciones digitales destinadas al aprendizaje a través de la música. Estas han demostrado ser de gran utilidad en el ámbito educativo. Por tanto, la propuesta didáctica albergará los factores mencionados y utilizará dichas herramientas para cumplir el objetivo.

In the 21st century, society finds itself in an information age full of digital natives. It can be said that today's world is constantly changing. Therefore, within the educational world, teachers have to adapt to the reality that is being experienced in order to achieve the full development of their students. This is where the essential role of music comes into play. Today, can you imagine a world without music? Neither can I. Music is everywhere and has a direct and constant impact on human life as a source of expression and, therefore, also on education. This research shows how the use of music in the classroom is a powerful tool in the learning of a foreign language, in our case English. To this end, an in-depth study of the advantages offered by music in the classroom has been carried out. In addition, three digital applications for learning through music have been investigated and tested. These have proved to be very useful in the educational field. Therefore, the didactic proposal will take into account the aforementioned factors and will use these tools to achieve the objective.
