El tratamiento escolar de las necesidades educativas especiales en el Departamento de Sucre (República de Colombia)

Abstract

El presente trabajo trata de dar visibilidad e informar sobre el tratamiento de las necesidades educativas especiales en el departamento de Sucre, República de Colombia. Para ello se han tenido en cuenta los principales hitos de la historia de Colombia, tanto a nivel social y político, como desde el campo de la educación, tanto en general como con respecto al tratamiento escolar de la discapacidad. Para describir Sucre se contextualiza su situación geográfica, así como su política, su economía, y su población, hasta llegar a la descripción de la educación de las personas con discapacidad en el Departamento. Se analiza el concepto de “estrato social”, que es un elemento fundamental para entender la desigualdad social y educativa de la República de Colombia.

This work tries to give visibility and inform about the treatment of special educational needs in the department of Sucre, Republic of Colombia. For this, the main milestones of the history of Colombia have been taken into account, both social and political, and from the field of education, both in general and with respect to the school treatment of disability. To describe Sucre, its geographical situation is contextualized, as well as its policy, its economy, and its population, until it reaches the description of the education of people with disabilities in the department. The concept of "social stratum" is analyzed, which is a fundamental element to understand the social and educational inequality of the Republic of Colombia.
