La naturaleza, aparentemente, inconexa de la obra de Hannah Arendt ha dado lugar a múltiples lecturas en lo que respecta a la relación entre sus obras. Aquí, se presenta una lectura que pretende delimitar puntos de unión entre dos de las obras más importantes de la autora: Orígenes del totalitarismo y La condición humana. Nuestra lectura defiende que la ontología de la natalidad, propuesta en la condición humana, se desarrolla en contraposición a la tradición del homo faber que culmina en el totalitarismo.
The aparently unconnected nature of Hannah Arendt's work has lead to a questioning of the cohesion between her works. In this paper, we aim to present a reading of her work that highlights the linking points between two of her most notorious works: The origins of totalitarianism and The Human Condicion. We postulate: that the ontology of natality, articulated by Arendt in The Human Condition, is her response to the tradition of the Homo Faber, which finds it's logical conclusion in the totalitarian movement.
With this goal in mind, we thread the link between both works through their shared ideas, using, whenever its needed, other works by the author.
