La fama en Historia Abreviada de la literatura portátil: una ficción fuera de los marcos de referencia literarios

Abstract

Este artículo plantea una entrada de lectura según la cual Historia Abreviada de la literatura portátil crítica a la noción de fama histórica desestabilizando su credibilidad a través de la exageración paródica. A su vez, dicha desestabilización puede expresarse estructural y argumentalmente, es decir, ligada a aspectos narrativos formales, por un lado; y a la trama, por otro. En el caso estructural, el análisis se concentra en las marcas referenciales y en la apariencia de verdad académica descubierta o respaldada. Concretamente, en (a) La incorporación de un prólogo que es parte de la trama (b) la cita constante a investigaciones y obras de terceros, (c) el uso de notas explicativas al margen, y (d) el anexo de “Bibliografía esencial”. En el caso argumental, por su parte, la desestabilización apunta a la figura del shandy como metáfora duchampiana del carácter ficticio y líquido que arrastra la representación histórica. En ambos casos lo que se refuerza es la esencia ilusoria de la construcción del pasado.

This article proposes a reading approach based on the idea that Historia abreviada de la literatura portátil criticizes the notion of historical fame by destabilizing its credibility through parodic exaggeration. This destabilization can be expressed both structurally and argumentatively, that is, linked to formal narrative aspects on the one hand, and to the plot on the other. In the structural case, the analysis focuses on the referential marks and the appearance of academic truth discovered or supported. Specifically, on (a) the incorporation of a prologue that is part of the plot, (b) the constant citation of research and works by third parties, (c) the use of explanatory notes in the margin, and (d) the appendix of "Essential Bibliography". In the argumentative case, on the other hand, the destabilization points to the figure of the shandy as a Duchampian metaphor for the fictional and liquid character that historical representation carries. In both cases, what is reinforced is the illusory essence of the construction of the past.
