El tratamiento mediático del referéndum catalán del 1-O de 2017 en La 1 y en TV3

Abstract

El tema elegido es el referéndum independentista catalán de 2017. Un estudio sobre el tratamiento mediático en los informativos de La 1 y TV3. La relevancia social del tema reside en cómo, a través de la utilización de las noticias y elementos audiovisuales, los informativos pueden mostrar a la audiencia enfoques distintos de los hechos. A través de un análisis de contenido de los informativos emitidos por ambas cadenas durante la semana más cercana al referéndum se estudian las variables de estructura, diseño y elementos informativos para averiguar cómo enfocan la información y qué transmiten a la audiencia. Una interpretación comparativa posterior permitirá identificar sesgos ideológicos y diferencias en la exposición de las noticias. En el resultado se detectaron variaciones en cuanto al empleo de recursos audiovisuales, como el lenguaje y la estructura del telediario, entre ambos informativos, que dio lugar a la construcción de realidades diferentes.

The Chosen Topic is the 2017 Catalan Independence Referendum: A Study on Media Coverage in La 1 and TV3 News Broadcasts The social relevance of this topic lies in how news and audiovisual elements can be used by television news programs to present different perspectives on the same events. Through a content analysis of the news broadcasts aired by both channels during the week closest to the referendum, this study examines variables such as structure, design, and informational elements to understand how the news is framed and what is conveyed to the audience. A subsequent comparative interpretation allows for the identification of ideological biases and differences in the preservation of the news. The results reveal variations in the use of audiovisual resources, such as language and the structure of the news programs, between the two broadcasters. These differences led to the construction of distinct realities.
