Abstract

La soledad no deseada afecta a millones de personas mayores de 65 años en España, especialmente en regiones como Castilla y León, que enfrentan envejecimiento y despoblación. Este fenómeno va más allá de la ausencia física y se relaciona con la falta de vínculos emocionales y apoyo social, impactando negativamente en la salud física y mental. A través de testimonios y datos, el proyecto busca visibilizar esta realidad y promover soluciones comunitarias. Además, destaca la importancia de iniciativas locales que ofrecen acompañamiento y apoyo, y plantea la necesidad de abordar la soledad como un reto social colectivo, superando el estigma y la invisibilidad

Unwanted loneliness affects millions of people over 65 in Spain, especially in regions like Castilla y León, which face aging populations and depopulation. This phenomenon goes beyond physical absence and is related to a lack of emotional bonds and social support, negatively impacting physical and mental health. Through testimonies and data, the project seeks to raise awareness of this reality and promote community-based solutions. It also highlights the importance of local initiatives offering companionship and support and emphasizes the need to address loneliness as a collective social challenge, overcoming stigma and invisibility.
