With this work it is intended, by way of introduction, to tackle some of the factors that will determine the romanisation process of the geographic area corresponding to what is today the province of Ciudad Real, how it would form the lines of communication that would allow the entry of roman cultural forms. The main and different town centres are also considered, which are evidenced in this area, some of which would attain status of municipium, also helping to foster the romanisation of this territorial area of the south Meseta.
Con este trabajo se pretende abordar, de forma introductoria, algunos de los factores que determinarían el proceso de romanización del ámbito geográfico correspondiente a la actual provincia de Ciudad Real, como lo vendría a constituir las vías de comunicación, que permitirían la entrada de formas culturales romanas. Igualmente se tienen en cuenta los principales y diversos núcleos de población atestiguados en este área, alguno de los cuales llegaría a alcanzar "status" de "municipium", contribuyendo también a potenciar la romanización de este ámbito territorial de la Meseta sur.
