El desarrollo de la competencia comunicativa permite comunicarnos de forma correcta, adecuada, coherente, cohesionada y eficaz. La competencia lingüística debe trabajarse desde edades tempranas en las distintas áreas para formar a futuros ciudadanos que sepan desenvolverse en la sociedad. El colegio es el lugar idóneo para potenciar su desarrollo y adoptar hábitos lingüísticos. Los textos producidos por niños y niñas de 5.º curso de Educación Primaria se ajustan a las normas lingüísticas escritas de su nivel, presentan un grado de coherencia y cohesión aceptable, destacan los errores en la ortografía acentual, el escaso empleo de conectores sintácticos, y, en general, el léxico es adecuado al tema y al contexto.
The development of the communicative competence allows us to communicate in a correct, adequate, coherent, cohesive, and effective manner. Linguistic competence must be worked on from an early age in different areas in order to train future citizens to know how to get on in the society. School is the ideal place to enhance their development and adopt language habits. The texts produced by boys and girls in the 5th grade of Primary Education are adjusted to the written linguistic norms of their level. They present an acceptable degree of coherence and cohesion, highlight the errors in accentual spelling, the scarce use of syntactic connectors, and, in general, the lexicon is appropriate to the topic and context.
