El objeto de este trabajo es el estudio de la trayectoria del Partido Socialista Andaluz (PSA) desde su fundación hasta su V Congreso. Para ello se ha analizado el nacionalismo andaluz desde sus orígenes hasta la creación del partido, las diferentes citas con las urnas en las que estuvo presente durante la I Legislatura (1979-1982) y su actividad parlamentaria en el Congreso de los Diputados en pro de la consecución del Estatuto de autonomía para Andalucía, siendo esta actividad estudiada desde los diarios de sesiones y las propuestas de ley que plantearon. Aunque el protagonismo y el tesón del PSA en todo el proceso es indiscutible, su falta de continuación en la línea política, el personalismo de su líder, la actitud del PSOE ante los andalucistas y los bandazos políticos acabaron por forzar el fin de la aventura parlamentaria del partido, como demuestra su falta de apoyos al llegar la II Legislatura.
The object of this work is the study of the trajectory of the Andalusian Socialist Party (PSA) from its foundation until its 5th Congress. For this, Andalusian nationalism has been analyzed from its origins until the birth of the party, examining the different elections in which it was present during de 1st Legislature (1979-1982) and its parliamentary activity in the Congress of Deputies for the achievement of the Statute of Autonomy of Andalusia, being this activity studied with the session diaries and the legislative proposals that were contemplated. Although the importance and the tenacity of the PSA in all the process is indisputable, its lack of continuity in the political line, the personalism of its leader, the attitude of PSOE towards the Andalusians and the political lurches ended up forcing the end of this party’s parliamentary adventure, as evidenced by its lack of support when the 2nd Legislature arrived.
