Actitudes didácticas sobre el lenguaje no sexista en la clase de ELE

Abstract

Aunque el debate en torno al uso del lenguaje no sexista pueda parecer actual debido a los recientes movimientos feministas, lo cierto es que lleva siendo un tema de investigación y de estudio desde la década de los 70. Lo que sí es más novedoso es el titubeo de si incluirlo en el aula de español como lengua extranjera si no es contenido curricular. Este trabajo busca descubrir lo que ocurre en las aulas de ELE y el conocimiento que tiene el profesorado respecto al tema, la manera en la que ha introducido este uso del lenguaje, su experiencia al hacerlo, la reacción del alumnado, así como conocer el porcentaje de docentes a favor de que sea contenido curricular. Para ello, después de haber dado un contexto teórico, en el que se desarrollan conceptos relacionados con el sexismo en el lenguaje, se ha llevado a cabo una investigación para dar respuestas a las incógnitas planteadas. Una vez recogidos los resultados, se han analizado los datos y se ha concluido que el lenguaje no sexista no solo está presente en la sociedad actual, sino también dentro del aula de español. Although the debate around the use of non-sexist language may seem recent due to the current feminist movements, the truth is that is has been a subject of research and of study since the 70s. What is newer is the hesitation whether including it to the Spanish as a foreign language lessons if it is not curricular content. This paper aims to discover what is happening in the SFL classrooms by finding out the teachers’ knowledge related to the topic, the way they have introduced this use of the language, how was their experience as well as the students’ reaction on top of determine the percentage of teachers in favour of non-sexist language becoming curricular content. To this effect, after having elaborated a theoretical context, in which concepts related to the sexism in language are developed, research has been carried out in order to answer the questions raised. Once the results have been gathered, the data has been analysed and it has been concluded that the non-sexist language it is present not only in the current society, but also within the Spanish classrooms.
