Este trabajo constituye una investigación acerca del nivel de correspondencia textual y temática que guardan las adaptaciones cinematográficas en relación con los textos literarios sobre los que versan. Del mismo modo, se pretende indagar en la percepción que tienen los lectores respecto a las adaptaciones literarias a través de la realización de un formulario online. Una vez establecidos los parámetros de estudio, se procede al análisis en profundidad de dos de las novelas de aventuras más representativas de la literatura universal: La isla del tesoro y La vuelta al mundo en 80 días, y sus correspondientes versiones audiovisuales estrenadas en la gran pantalla en el siglo XXI. El análisis de estas dos adaptaciones permitirá examinar en qué medida estos largometrajes se mantienen fieles a los textos originales, con el fin de valorar si el traslado del lenguaje literario al cinematográfico conlleva transformaciones significativas que alteran la historia, la ambientación o los personajes principales de las obras de partida.
This project constitutes an investigation into the level of textual and thematic correspondence between film adaptations and the literary texts they are based on. Similarly, it aims to explore readers' perceptions of literary adaptations through the completion of an online questionnaire. Once the study parameters have been established, we proceed to an in-depth analysis of two of the most representative adventure novels in world literature: Treasure Island and Around the world in 80 days, and their corresponding audiovisual versions released on the big screen in the 21st century. The analysis of these two adaptations will allow us to examine the extent to which these feature films remain faithful to the original texts, in order to assess whether the transfer of literary language to cinema entails significant transformations that alter the story, setting, or main characters of the original works.
