La arquitectura escolar rodea los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje de la educación formal. Sin
embargo, el diseño de espacios educativos no se caracteriza por haber sido objeto de interés de los
educadores en la mayoría de las etapas de la historia de la educación. En la actualidad, se sabe que
el espacio construido tiene un impacto sobre el sistema nervioso, tener esto en cuenta constituye
la base de la Neuroarquitectura. Esta disciplina emergente puede suponer un punto de inflexión
en el diseño espacial de los centros educativos, además de tener en cuenta la arquitectura interior
y exterior como herramienta que colabore con la inclusión educativa del alumnado
neurodivergente o con necesidades específicas de apoyo educativo. En el presente Trabajo de Fin
de Grado se pretende por tanto abordar el potencial de los espacios educativos para velar por el
bienestar emocional y posibilitar la accesibilidad física y cognitiva de todo el alumnado, pero en
especial del alumnado neurodivergente.
School architecture surrounds the teaching and learning processes of formal education. However,
the design of educational spaces is not characterized by having been the object of interest of
educators in most stages of the history of education. Nowadays, it is known that the built space
has an impact on the nervous system; taking this into account constitutes the basis of
Neuroarchitecture. This emerging discipline can be a turning point in the spatial design of
educational centers, in addition to taking into account the interior and exterior architecture as a
tool that collaborates with the educational inclusion of neurodivergent students or those with
specific educational support needs. Therefore, this Final Degree Project aims to address the
potential of educational spaces to ensure emotional well-being and enable physical and cognitive
accessibility for all students, but especially for neurodivergent students.
